Music

"Musica Maestoso" (Majestic Music) is Donn's approach to music for Christian worship. Donn's
philosophy is that corporate worship music must proclaim the Christian, biblical worldview in
form, lyric, and composition. Anything less than that compromises the integrity of the Gospel
message, especially when more worldly musical styles are introduced into the sanctuary for
the sake of "cultural relevance." The style of music used for worship has but one purpose, the
least of which is to present styles and individual selections based on personal tastes or
cultural preferences.
"Musica Solemnis" (Solemn Music) captures the essence of sacred music and traditional hymns
as arranged for the classical guitar as performed by Donn LeVie Jr. This collection of music
reserved for presentation in church sanctuaries includes the music of J.S. Bach, W.A. Mozart,
Beethoven, Handel, Vivaldi,

You Can Host a Salon Concert
The idea of private “Salon Concerts” (or "House Concerts") is both an old and new one. Most
music of the 18th and 19th centuries was shared in the homes of friends, neighbors,
politicians, the aristocracy, business associates, symphony benefactors, and other wealthy
individuals. The practice continues today with chamber music quartets, classical guitarists, and
concert pianists performing “salon concerts” in private homes for small (15 to 40) audiences in
an intimate setting.
